The Tokyo Olympics have come to an exciting close! The games began on Friday, July 23 with the opening ceremony and will end with the closing ceremony tonight, Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Tokyo Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. The games and the amazing athletes were inspirational to watch. One incredible moment for the USA Taekwondo Team was Anastasija Zolotic winning the first Taekwondo gold medal for the US women's Team. At Achieve Martial Arts we encourage our students to do their best and to see their training as a martial arts journey. We hope that our students enjoy the training and challenges and ultimately earn their black belt. Our school is affiliated with World Taekwondo formally known as World Taekwondo Federation. This organization sets the standards and regulations for Olympic style Taekwondo. After earning their black belt our students are registered and certified with Kukkiwon, the headquarters of World Taekwondo in Seoul, Korea. Our students' black belt Kukkiwon Certification is recognized World Wide.
At Achieve Martial Arts in Scarsdale, the students not only enjoy training in self-defense, sparring, forms, and board breaking, but also weapons training. Our students learn how to safely use both the Bo Staff and Nunchucks to protect themselves.
Achieve Martial Arts' Instructors are very proud of the Leadership Program we have at our school. The students who join the program not only attend their regular classes but they take an additional leadership class. This class augments the martial arts lessons the students receives but also teaches them to become highly effective Junior Instructors. The Leadership program teaches students how to communicate powerfully and effectively, build relationship, and inspire and motivate others.
Achieve Martial Arts continues to provide the most effective and challenging training for our students while maintaining the safest and cleanest conditions possible. We continue to follow all health and safety guidelines established by New York State and the CDC.
At Achieve Martial Arts, our goal is to develop our students into great martial artists by teaching the importance of self-defense and fitness. Students at our school are offered far more than just physical training though. Those who participate in our classes are also entering a fitness program which promotes a healthier lifestyle by having a positive and healthy mind. No prior experience is necessary to excel in our classes. Our highly trained staff teach classes that are educational, challenging and fun.
